Widower innkeeper Marta Kettlebrew needs help with an embarrassing problem. Since her spouse's passing last winter, her famous turnip beer has been mysteriously souring overnight! 

Guests who drink it report vivid dreams about meeting the perfect romantic partner. They wake up convinced they've found their soulmate among the other inn guests, leading to awkward confessions, mistaken identities, and several near-duels.
